By Leslie Ball

Traveling is loved by many. It is relaxing, memorable and is an effective anti-stress for many of us. It is no wonder then why we see a lot of people of all ages, going from one place to another just to enjoy the feel of a different environment. Regardless of where you plan to go, preparation has to be done. Otherwise, you will end up having problems later on.

Going to a new place, away from our hometown has this strange effect on us. Making us feel at ease. It temporarily allows us to see the natural beauty that we mostly forget and ignore in our daily busy schedules. If it's a unique and fun trip you are looking for, Machu Picchu and Galapagos Tours are definitely one of the best.

Unlike visiting foreign cities, going to an island can be more challenging and tiring. After all, you do not have the same access to different comforts that the city life has to offer. Below are some of the most common mistakes travelers make when preparing for their trip to the islands. Browse through them and make sure you don't fall prey to the same errors.

Packing too much clothing. There is a great reason behind the statement that you should travel light. Traveling with things that you need will make it more comfortable for you when you transfer form one place to another. Still, there are some who travel with so much clothing, some of them end up not being used at all.

Not bringing cash. You can never be sure if there are stores nearby that will allow credit cards for purchases. One common mistake that a lot of travelers do is to rely too much on their cards and not stash away cash. This is the reason why they have problems later on, especially when they need to make an emergency payment.

Not fully charging all your gadgets. Perhaps because of too much excitement, there are travelers who do not remember to charge their mobile phones and cameras ahead of time. As a result, they run out of battery and are unable to document all the awesome things they saw during their travels.

No snack foods on board. You cannot always trust you'll find convenience stores during your travel. This is especially true if you are on an island where nearby stores may not be present. Having some light power foods on board is an excellent plan in case you get hungry while on the road.

Not making advanced reservations. While you can just get a room once you reach the destination, it is always better if you reserve in advance. Doing so will help you compare prices of hotels and pick the best value one that is highly accessible. Also, you will not have to deal with fully booked cases.

Have a fun trip by avoiding those potential hassles on the run. Plan ahead and create a checklist. You want to spend quality time on the islands. Make it worth it.
